Knitted leg warmers

The autumn has truly begun here in Belgium - it's so cold! Especially in the morning, when I have to go to school by bike.
I decided I urgently needed leg warmers and what is more fun than making your own?!

I based my leg warmers on a free pattern on Ravelry. I cast on 48 stitches and then did [knit 2, purl 2] until my leg warmers measured 30 cm.
I think I will only cast on 40 or 44 stitches next time but I'm pleased with my result nonetheless.

Happy knitting!

DIY woven flower wreath

A little while ago I made a flower wreath with some friends. As a textile student I quickly started thinking about weaving my flowers and that's how I ended with this result.

Journal with me #1

I have started journaling again and am excited to show you my first pages!

I started with the 7th of June, a normal day in my life. I studied with a friend for the upcoming exam and that was it basically. We also ordered a burger via Deliveroo so I obviously had to mention that in my diary entry. (it was really yummy)

BTS World Tour - 8th June

I went to BTS in Paris! It was my first time to see BTS and my first time to visit Paris so I was very excited to go.

I went with my father and we slept in an airbnb in the center. (5th arrondissement I believe).
We walked a little through Paris and then took the metro to Stade de France around 6.30 pm so we would have time to buy merchandise (eventually my dad bought what I told him to so I could already enter the stadium because I was too excited haha). I now have a super cool sweater, yay!

Knitting work in progress #2

Although I am 1. studying for my exams and 2. already knitting a cardigan for myself, I am also knitting a sweater for a friend. I had knitted just a little but today I decided to continue.

I am making this sweater, called Tecumseh for my friend's birthday. I asked her what size she would need and the colours she wanted and quickly ordered the yarn while there was still a sale on Drops yarn. ;-)

A trip to the coast

the moment before we saw a fox

My brother is 14 and sails in his 'Optimist'; a not very big sailboat. He practises almost every week and this time he had to go to Duinbergen. It is usually only my father who brings my brother to his destination but today my mother and I also went with them, so we could have a walk there.

After we dropped my brother off, my parents and I left to Retranchement. We did a walk of 10 km and saw a fox, many birds and cows with an interesting pattern on their back.

Studying for my exams

The first day of studying has finished. My first exam is on Wednesday 29 so I decided today (Thursday) would be a good day to start revising. My first exam is from the course 'Oriental Literature - China' and it's actually less boring to study than I expected!

I did 55 pages today (of the 199 in total) and even had time to go buy new knitting needles for my new project. (see latest post). I'm now going to knit and watch the last episode of Broadchurch.

See you~
